Calendula extract
What is it?
Calendula extract is obtained by processing the flowers and leaves of the plant with a mixture of water and propylene glycol. Its active ingredients are heterogeneous but include pentacyclic triterpenes and saponins, carotenoids and the glycosidic form of flavonoids.
What does it do for your skin?
It has reepithelising and repairing activity. It also possesses hydrating activity due to its saponin and mucilage content. It powers the repair of damaged skin, stimulating proteoglycan and collagen synthesis.
