Ellagic acid is a natural antioxidant polyphenol.
What does it do for your skin?
Ellagic acid has a depigmenting action due to its suppressor effect on the activity of tyrosinase, the enzyme responsible for melanin (skin pigment) synthesis. It also has a protective effect, helping prevent pigmentation caused by excessive sun exposure.
